The Foxboro 870ITEC-AYFNZ is an 8-channel thermocouple input module for the I/A Series distributed control system. The “870” identifies the analog input module family, “ITEC” denotes Input Thermocouple with Cold Junction Compensation, and “AYFNZ” is the specific hardware revision. This module accepts thermocouple signals (Types J, K, T, E, N, R, S, B) directly from field temperature sensors and converts them to engineering units (degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit) using high-accuracy cold junction compensation.
