The Foxboro FBM207B is a 16-channel digital input module for the Foxboro I/A Series distributed control system. The “FBM207” identifies the 16-channel digital input family, and the “B” revision indicates an enhanced hardware version with improved noise filtering and faster scan times compared to earlier revisions. This module accepts discrete (on/off) signals from field devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, pressure switches, and solenoid valve feedback contacts. The module provides galvanic isolation between the field wiring and the DCS processor, protecting the sensitive CPU from voltage spikes and ground loops.
