GE URSHA – Universal Redundant Relay Switch Housing with Analog Capability for Mark VIe Systems

In stock

Product Introduction:
The URSHA is a hybrid output module that combines relay outputs with analog output capability in a single redundant housing for GE Mark VIe control systems. The designation stands for Universal (U), Relay (R), Switch (S), High-Availability (H), and Analog (A). This module is used when a control application requires both discrete on/off switching (via relays) and continuous analog control (via 4-20mA or 0-10V outputs) from the same physical location in the rack. The redundant architecture ensures that both relay and analog outputs remain available even if one side of the module fails.

Technical Specifications:
Module Type: Universal Redundant Relay Switch Housing with Analog Outputs
System Compatibility: GE Mark VIe Distributed Control System
Relay Channels: 8 to 16 Form-C relay outputs
Analog Output Channels: 4 to 8 channels, 16-bit resolution
Analog Output Range: 4-20mA or 0-10V (software configurable)
Relay Contact Rating: 5 Amps at 250V AC
Analog Accuracy: +/- 0.1% of full scale
Update Rate: 50ms for analog outputs, 10ms for relay outputs
Redundancy: Full A/B redundant with cross-monitoring
Isolation: 1500V RMS channel-to-ground isolation
Form Factor: 6U VIC Eurocard

Functional Features:
Hybrid I/O in One Slot: Combines relay and analog outputs, reducing the total number of modules required in the rack.
Analog Output Supervision: Monitors each analog output for open-circuit, short-circuit, and out-of-range faults.
Relay Coil Monitoring: Continuous supervision of every relay coil with immediate fault reporting.
Synchronized Outputs: Analog and relay outputs update simultaneously, ensuring coordinated control of equipment.
Configurable Fail-Safe: Each output (relay and analog) can be independently configured to energize or de-energize upon fault.
LED Diagnostics: Per-channel LEDs for both relay status and analog output health.

Application Scenarios:
Valve Control with Feedback: Drives a solenoid valve (relay) while simultaneously reading back the valve position (analog output to a positioner).
Pump Sequencing: Starts and stops pumps via relays while modulating speed via analog output to a variable frequency drive.
Damper Control: Opens and closes dampers (relay) while providing a modulating signal (analog) for precise positioning.
Cooling System Management: Switches cooling fans on/off (relay) while modulating cooling water flow (analog).
