The Triconex 4000153-010 is a 16-channel digital output module for the Tricon safety instrumented system. This board provides 16 channels of discrete (on/off) output control via electromechanical relays. Each relay can switch up to 5 Amps at 250V AC or 30V DC, making this module suitable for driving high-power loads such as solenoid valves, contactor coils, indicator lamps, and alarm horns directly from the safety controller. The “010” configuration indicates the base memory configuration. Like all Tricon I/O, this module is triple modular redundant: three independent processors control every output, and the relays are energized only when at least two out of three processors agree on the output state. This ensures that a stuck relay or a failed processor cannot cause a dangerous output.
