The Triconex 8307A is the power supply module for Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems. This board takes the raw DC power from the plant’s uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or battery bank and converts it into the precise, clean, and regulated voltages required by the Triconex CPU and all I/O modules. The “8307” identifies it as a power supply, and the “A” suffix indicates Series A hardware, the original and most widely deployed revision. The 8307A provides multiple output voltages (typically 5V DC, 3.3V DC, and 24V DC) with N+1 redundancy, meaning if one power supply fails, the other takes over instantly without any interruption to the safety function. Without this board, no other module in the Triconex rack can function.
