The Triconex DI2301 is a 16-channel digital input module for the Triconex TriStation safety controller. This module accepts discrete (on/off) signals from field devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, pressure switches, and flame detector relays. The “DI” stands for Digital Input, “23” indicates 16 channels (in Triconex nomenclature), and “01” denotes the specific revision. The module provides galvanic isolation between the field wiring and the safety processor, protecting the sensitive CPU from voltage spikes and ground loops.
